How about right now.
It doesn't have an SCR number. As I posted earlier, the BC-1293 is part
of a system with the JAN nomenclature of AN/CPX-1.
Apparently it started out life as a part of the Signal Corps RC-348 system,
whose nomenclature got changed to the JAN system AN/CPX-1.
Mixed nomenclature systems occurred frequently. Just a few of many examples:
1. The SCR-595-A IFF used mostly USN ABK-* components.
2. The AN/VRC-3 used the BC-1000-A.
3. The AN/VRC-5 used the BC-603 and BC-604.
4. The AN/ARN-11 is the MN-26LB.
5. The AN/ARR-11 is the BC-348-*.
6. The AN/CRR-1 is the Setchell-Carlson Model 591.
7. Most versions of the AN/GRC-26 used the BC-610-* transmitter.
In a slightly different case, the common BC-1206-* beacon band receivers had
neither Signal Corps nor JAN system nomenclature assigned.
So, that Signal Corps nomenclature of BC-1293 does not imply that it is
part of a system with an SCR designation. The closest it came was the
fleeting RC-384 designation. The JAN AN/CPX-1 will have to suffice.
