Hi Nick
The 310F-6 is a manually tuned receiver / exciter which uses the same modules as
the KWT-6.  The autotuned version is the 310F-1 which is essentially an ARC-58
repackaged with a motor-generator producing the 115vac 400~ needed for
autotune.  Both are listed in the document below along with several other
variants.  If you leave off the HVPS and PA of a KWT-6 you then have the 310F-6.

Jim

Subject: [Milsurplus] AN/URT-18 transmitter??

The AN/URT-18 HF transmitter comprises an exciter plus 2.5 kw linear amplifier.
The amplifier is an AM-2374/URT (Collins 204F-1)
So what is the exciter nomenclature? - it has some common components
with AN/URC-32 is the only clue I have.
Was this transmitter used by the Navy?
cheers,
Nick K4NYW
