[Milsurplus] R-648/ARR-41 Info Sought

Hello MilSurplus group:

I happened upon a stash of R-648/ARR-41 receivers recently.  

One has a dynamotor, another has a very professional 120VA plug-in
powersupply that bolts right on the old dynamotor mounts, the last appears
to be a hanger queen perhaps even a prototype.  I fired the first two up,
and darn if they didn't operate after all these years.  Kinda- amazing.

I did a Web search and found very little on this RX.  If you know some
background, or a website where it is discussed (history, schematics,
operation, rarity, production numbers and dates, etc) please reply or drop
