The Diefenbunker, Canada's Cold War Museum (www.Diefenbunker.ca) is looking
for a non-operating PRC-25 for a static communications equipment display. It
can be stripped of all the modules just as long as it looks complete. Can
anyone help and if so, how much? Thanks.

In case any hams are interested, the Diefenbunker, named after one of Canada's Prime Ministers, John Diefenbaker, is an underground facility built in the 60s during the Cold War. It was staffed into the 80's but never used for intended purpose of evacuating key government officials in case of nuclear attack. It is located at former Can.Forces Station Carp, approx 25 miles west of Ottawa, ON.

It is now on the air most tuesday evenings after 1900hrs on 40M CW( for those who remember) and also operates SSB on 40 and 30 and band coverage will improve as new antennas are installed.Callsign is VE3CWM ( Cold War Museum). I'd be glad to work any of the milsurplus group who feel so inclined. 7.025Khz is where we often listen. The ham station is about 25 ft underground while the facility extends 4 storeys underground.

For response to the need for a PRC-25, non operational or otherwise, please contact Brian at VE3UU.com or myself.

Thanks

Ralph
