Truman went on the USS Augusta CA31 escorted by the USS Philadelphia CL41
from Newport News to England where the HMS Zodiac R54 escorted them in the
English Channel then the two went on to Antwerp Belgium where Truman
disembarked  to fly to Yalta. After the conference he flew back to England
where
the USS  Augusta was waiting for the return to the US.
