All -
Looking for some insight into a IF transformer alignment tool for the
BC-348.
What did it look like?
What was in composed of?
Any pictures of the mysterious IF tuning tool?
I have pulled out the 2nd, 3rd, 4th IF transformers for repair. I am
reworking the IF transformers since the slot, gap, has mostly broken off
the bottom adjustment slug.
The 2nd IF transformer is under the Power- Switch; diddling with the
adjustment is not easy with the tools I have. That is a tight fit
between the power switch wafers.
I would like to manufacture a tuning tool as close to the original as
possible?
I need a thin insulated shaft of non metallic, nonconducting material,
the tip should be of a non ferrous metal like brass or tin?
-Thanks
Hutch
