A13, further problems.
 
Having now achieved rf output from the supposed 'working' A13  recently 
purchased  I now find there is no tx tuning from the channel  tuning selection, 
only from the rf tuning selection. 
 
Has anyone worked on one of the sets ?
 
I 'lost' the 8v regulated supply so rather than try and figure  out the 
equivalent replacement transistors, 2S104 & OC140, I simply put a  7805 with 
zener in its place. 
 
Even with the 8v back there is no tx tuning from the channel  tuning. I 
guess I have lost the afc, I think the rx stays on during tx and uses  the afc 
to lock the tx osc to the rx osc but I just can't see where its being  lost 
etc. 
 
Anyway, as asked, anyone played with these sets before?
