I did a little work on that some 15 years ago, with mixed results.
It was "more art than science."  Kinda hoped someone smarter
would pick up the ball and work with it.
IIRC, I sprayed some wrinkle paint into a coffee can,
brushed a coat on the spot, heated it with a heat lamp,
then brushed on another coat, heated again.  Sometimes
it worked well, sometimes not.  The "new" didn't match the "old"
unless you waited a couple of days for a good cure,
then rubbed some light oil like WD-40 over the finish.
Haven't tried it since.
