The zinc chromite is a dip process and the color varies widely depending 
on the material, the strength and age of the dip, and how long it is 
immersed.  I was a government QAR at Williams Int where they made the 
cruise missile engines and the process was used extensively on aluminum 
parts.  The color isn't important just the protection of the base material.
