I have seen many of those photos before, but not in such high resolution, so 
it was
good to see them scanned so well.

As for the radio, it may be a morale radio, but it doesn't resemble any 
military
"morale radio" that I offhand recognize. It looks to me like one of the many
civilian table radios from the time.  On my second look, I was surprised to 
see
that it has no space for batteries, so it's an AC powered home radio.  If 
that
location had a comm station or maybe medical equipment of some kind,
or a kitchen or water purification plant, it may have had an AC generator
also. But it kind looks like the radio is turned away from where you would
expect it to face, if it was usable.  As to the question whether it's a 
moral
radio, I'd need to know more of its life story. -Hue Miller
