It's a test receiver for the Mark II IFF system transponder SCR-535-A.  This
WWII IFF system was very quickly replaced by the Mark III (SCR-595-A and ABK) 
and Mark IIIG (SCR-695-A and ABF) system.  Mark II IFF components are thus
rare, but not much in demand either.
