[Milsurplus] Pan Am radio equipment

If I may jump in here briefly, the National Type "B" Velvet Vernier dial 
was shown in the 1949 ARRL Handbook's National catalog pages - at the 
horrendous "list" price of $2.70! At that time, Thompson Radio Supply in 
Columbus, OH gave an "amateur radio" discount of 40% off the "list" 
prices on parts. Might have been a bit less on dials, etc.

I used a Type "B" on the first regen I built in 1947 at age 14 or 15.
