Wikipedia states the Marine Air Terminal 'remains the only active terminal dating from the first generation of passenger travel in the United States-the :"Golden age of the flying boat." '
The old TWA terminal at JFK Airport is a remnant of the "Golden Age" of jet travel:

Does anyone know if there are terminals of the earlier era's at any other airports?
In the early 1960's a friend of my father arranged a tour of the TWA facilities at the then named New York International "Idlewind" Airport. I was only 10 years old and I vividly remember it. We got on board a 707 as the passengers were boarding. The passengers were dressed up and the cockpit had the atmosphere of a cocktail lounge. The captain and first officer introduced themselves to me and shook my hand. Very impressive. We then got to go into the control tower. We weren't allowed onto the top floor where the controllers were working but got up to the floor beneath. We then took a tour of the hanger. I remember that, amongst the high tech equipment and engines, an elderly tailor was hunched over a sewing machine working on the cabin seat upholstery.
Times have changed.

In 1991 I was waiting for my passengers in the LaGuardia "Marine Air
Terminal" a.k.a. "MAT" which was home to the Clipper's in the 30's and
40's, I set outside the side entrance -- and if I walked around the corner
of the
terminal building I could see the bay and the dock area where the Clippers
tied up , I sat there and watched them take down the last Blue Globe Pan
Am signs for Pan Am's East Coast shuttle service and post the Delta
signs and that was it, the last flights for Pan American Airways. A sad
day, an end or an era. I guess Pan AM should have stuck with air
transportation and what they knew best and stayed away from hotels and
golf courses. etc.
Pan Am pilots were my hero's the best of the best.
