| is no frequency control tie between the RT-6 and the RR-6.  See

| The RR-6 receiver could be either crystal-controlled or VFO.

An interesting   problem with the RS-6 system is that you can not spot the 
receiver to the transmitter frequency as there are no provisions. I've 
operated the set quite a few times at field events and finally did a 
modification using a small micro switch. See
