'converted'. They mention Ken-Rad, GE, Canadian GE, and I know the Sylvania
and some JAN types could be too, RCA Mfg'd units usually will have their
code of -274- printed somewhere. Back in late '50s--early '60s we had
"conversion" parties at ham club meetings to modify a bunch of them, local
electronics store had got in several cases of them from surplus market.
