[Milsurplus] BC 348 Identification

The label doesn't read like a standard military name plate for the  
BC-348. Is it a sticker or is it the a nomenclature plate with the  
military designation and contract number/year (since the radio is not  
positively ID'd, probably there is none of these is on the label  
described). It is also posssible that the original military nameplate  
is missing, and the label is maybe a post-war modification or service  
label indicating a contract done by one company for the other.  
"ITA-20D" also doesn't look like a military contract or model number.  
Post-WW2 some BC-348's were used in civilian aircraft for a while. Can  
your friend supply a "mug shot" of the receiver so we can see it?
