True. Their bonuses are figgured on the next quarter. They'll stick a
couple of years, then the Wall Street suits will cook up some new scheme
to make a fast buck.

eBay is well patent protected and few have the pockets to fight against
eBay even if their patent is junk.

Also, it's a chicken and egg problem:

  Who wants to sell, if there are no buyers?
  Who wants to shop if there are no sellers?

The only real hope is some kind of anti-trust actions, IMO. Unlikely to
happen.
