Yep, those are SB2Cs. If nothing else, the huge rudder gives them
away. Memory serving, all the fighters were Grumman F6Fs which were
the Navy's mainstay fighter once it hit the fleet. The Japanese
didn't like this turn of events and responded by getting shot down a
lot.
