The NASA C.P.I. Inflation calculator puts $57 -$75 in 1948 dollars being the 2010 equivalent of $516.02 to $678.98. Sill sound cheap to you guy's?
It even worse in actuality as the Gov'mt skews the numbers on housing and transportaion though it's selection of areas to base this upon.
