Dennis, actually it's a lot easier to find a power plug for the R-808 than
for the R-392. The one that fits the R-392 will work but you don't have to
use it. You can (and in fact that's what was originally supplied) also use
the much easier to find cathedral sytle body as well Which will not fit the
R-392.
Joe, if I recall correctly Dave S. had some common pointers of problems to
look for, and the fixes. I don't recall the details but maybe he will post
them again. Was the manual you got with it the very thick one that covers
the AN/MRC-55 or on just on the receiver? Reason I ask is that I never came
across evidence of the latter and would be interested in knowing if one ever
existed.
