The RAT, RAT-1 and RAV all preceded the ATA/ARA into production.  
Components for the 28 Volt RAT-1 are mostly the same as the similar part for the ARA. 
 There were four receivers (counting the two from the 14 Volt RAT).  They 
cover 13.5-20 and 20-27 MC.  Only a 2-receiver rack was supplied.

Very few were built.  Dave S. has the production figures   But it was as I 
recall either 50 each of RAT and RAT-1 or 100 each.  And about 100 of RAV 
(28 Volt only).
