Don't know about that one but when I was stationed at Cold Bay with a
helicopter support crew there was a DEW Line station there.
There was also a fiberglass radome that a native had turned into a storage
locker. Inside were stacks of rack mounted tunable receivers, about 5-6 "
high. Did not get to examine one up close but sure got my curiosity up.
There must have been several hundred. Also some HRO's, some other Nationals
looked like 2-40 or similar config.
Local dump was full of old electronics. I was told it was stuff that was
surplused when the station was updated.
There was also a B-17 setting on the marsh still intact but inaccessible.
Was told it has now been removed.
Our tax dollars at play.
