[Milsurplus] BC348R in a Crate.

Meeting people at gas stations and getting radios out of their trunks has
always been a fun thing for me.

I picked up this "portable" recently:

I wish it were a super secret WWII spy radio,  but it's just a beat up 348R
in a box with a HB 117V PS and a hand-less clock!

I'm wondering about the crate.  It's military,  and a buddy of mine that
crews a B-17 says they have one just like it in their museum with the
original radio inside,  but he can't remember the radio.    So,  any idea of
the crate's vintage?
