Yes, that's true.  I've got one such mount sitting under my
RT-82/APX-6.

The RT-279/APX that is part of the AN/APX-25 is just a modified
RT-82/APX-6, so the mount naturally works for that too.

The AN/APX-25 was still in service on B-52 and KC-135 aircraft
at Blytheville AFB in the late 1960s.  It really surprised me
to see what looked like a post-WWII IFF (the AN/APX-6) when I
toured through the base avionics repair shops in 1969 and saw
the AN/APX-25.
