Not quite totally accurate.
 
The AM-6155 is UHF only and goes with AN/GRT-22.
The AM-6154 is VHF only and goes with AN/GRT-21
 
Many, if not most, of the parts are interchangeable,
but some tuning parts are totally different.  Also,
many of the components on the tube socket are also
different.
 
In amateur SSB service, these amps are capable of
close to 1 kW PEP input.
 
The FAA shop in Oklahoma City where I work overhauls
the GRR and GRT equipment down to component level.
 
I have enclosed corrections to factual errors in
brackets [ ] below.

Subject: [Milsurplus] FS AM6155/GRT-22

[AM-6155/GRT-22] is an amplifier that uses Eimac 8930,
which Eimac catalog says similar to 4CX250R/7580W,
but a larger plate. Plate dissipation [rating] is
350 Watts, max freq 500 MHz, uses sk-600A or sk646.
 
Eimac spec is 2000v plate 350v screen and at .29A---
350 Watts out.  This amp is AM use, so rated only
50 Watts output, which is 200w p-p.
 
Cavity has two positions selectable, vhf or uhf.

[IS OPTIONAL PART OF] with [T-1109/GRT-22], 225-400 MHz
airband transceiver.
