At least one Space Shuttle mission flew a ground-penetrating radar and
used it from orbit, because that radar found a lost city ("Ubar" or some
such) in the Sahara. If it was working when the ground track crossed
that part of SW Az., the imagery would have been saved and should be
available to the public.
