That's a fair question, Mike. To me, the APA-10 is in a somewhat
different class than a BC-224-A or other 1930's comm set. The original
conversion to 60Hz is *not* trivial, so if it is operational, the
deconversion would depend on two things - the availability of an
original 400~ transformer, and the degree of metal patching required.
For that set, I'd be tempted to leave it as is, especially if it's
working well. It's a neat looking panadapter, even if the 30MHz
position requires a bit of manual sweeping to scan the full band. Mount
it up high on your shelving and you won't see the 60Hz transformer on
the back... :-)
