Don't knock aromatherapy.  Placebos have been proven to work.

I like silver wire in motors when you are trying to get every last bit 
of performance at very high power levels.  Half the resistance (and thus 
heating) of copper, although a lot harder to work with.

In audio systems I would find silver somewhat hard to honestly justify.
