[Milsurplus] SC-230 Mystery solved

Good Evening All,


        After talking to Terry at SGC this morning the mystery was
solved. Seems that this is one of the very early models and does not have
the Lock Feature. The main P.C.B. design was changed in 2000 to allow
that and other features. So Thanks to all who responded. I am making the
power supply and tune indicator tonight and hope to test everything
tomorrow. Hope to work you over the weekend from the Fairwell to Fort
Monmouth event. Look for K2USA on or about 3.680, 7.260, 14.260, CW +50,
PSK31 +70, and the NJ Linked Repeater System W2NJR/R. Operations are
scheduled to commence 00:01 Z 29 January to 23:59 Z 31 January, band
conditions and the Old Operators stamina not with standing. We are hoping
to run 24 Hrs for the event. If you are near by and want to visit contact
me and we can arrange for you to be escorted on to the Base. Again Thanks
