When I was a kid I used to buy all the model aircraft mags and America's Hobby Center, 146 W 22nd St., NYC,NY usually had a two page add at the front of all the mags and I lusted after the control line model Shrike and also the Auto-Gyro.I actually went there once but went home with the Royal Rudderbug, a giant single channel, high wing, cabin design for the early tube type R/C. I built the airframe but my Brother David finished it and flew it.Had a McCoy .35 engine...I miss those halcion days of glue and dope !(and early electronics!).
