Plentiful in my definition implies that if a less than serious collector would like to have one, they can find one. Of course, all serious collectors have them already, and, maybe even went on to rarer stuff. I still have a BC-14A and a BC-15A and even a French type A from which the BC-14 and BC-14A were essentially copied. I have had at least dozen BC-14As, and maybe close to about 6 BC-15s throughout my collecting endeavors, and of ocurse could have had more, but, I had more than enough. At one time I had all of the different manufacturers of the BC-14A which was neat. 73 - Mike

Hmmm ... define "plentiful". :-)
Seriously, it would be fun to assemble a rig from these even if I have
to do a lot of repair etc work to do so. While the FCC might cast a
stink eye my way were I to fire up the Tx, they would look very nice
sitting next to an operational 1920s rig during, say, an AWA event.
It's actually the planned 1920s & 1930s rigs that raised the question
in the first place. Just as surplus influenced a lot of shacks after
WW II, I can't help but believe it did after WW I as well, not just
equipment from the war but afterward up to the build up prior to WW
II. Even equipment like the Model B-based SCR-A*-183s could have
easily fallen into that category since they were replaced starting
around 1934 with the Model D-based equipment.
*sigh* ... another "quest" ... I never learn, do I. :-)
