242A says first contract for RBA, B and C 1940. Strange thing is it only
lists up to RBA-4 1943 and RBB/C-2 1942. However, I acquired a PDF
(unfortunately missing some of the front matter) of NAVSHIPS 91101 on RBB/RBC-3 & -4.
On page 1 it lists contract number and date for RBB/RBC-3 as NObsr-39151,
April 28, 1947. And more RBC-3 plus RBB/RBC-4 NObsr-39340, June 30, 1947.
FWIW, the only difference between the -3 and the -4 is that the -3 is table
mount and the -4 is rack mount. Same thing is true of the -5 and -6.
