Absolutely! The repaint job is made even easier by the use of
removable control tags. Just make sure you take them off in an area
where you can find the tiny screws if you happen to drop one.
My RAK-8 is flakey on the outside, like new on the inside. It's in
line to get a strip and repaint this coming spring. Being a late
model, it has plastic tags vs. the usual metal types, but still easier
than trying to deal with an engraved panel on a wrinkle panel. Paid
$35 for mine with power supply back in the 80s when folks still
shunned such fine gear.
