[Milsurplus] [ARC5] ARC-5 Receiver Question

Take a careful look at the pic link posted a little while ago. The shell
is connected to a pin.

Interestingly, the evacuation tip has a metal shield inside the plastic
key too. I wonder why they bothered with that?
