[Milsurplus] [ARC5] ARC-5 Receiver Question

Mine are all aluminum(black or un painted).  I have heard/thought that units
didn't get painted later in the war because their life expectancy was a few
missions, and without paint, saved weight in the airframe.

Weren't the -As aluminum as well?  I know the originals were black
but, without looking at the ones I have, I thought the -A versions
were unpainted and the -B were a little of both.
