Whisker growth in slide-on relay covers occured
in some WECo equipment I encountered.  These
covers were about 1" by 1", and 3" long.   The fix
was to use a small light and a magnifying glass
and inspect the relays.   Compressed air cleared
the whiskers out.  Some of these whiskers could
get over a quarter inch long.
