Yes, Kingsley Radio's model number was KCR-11 and was
supplied as the AR-7 Receiver to the Royal Australian Air
Force (RAAF) and also as the Reception Set No.1 for the
Australian Army. Both were built as 19" rack mounted units
with the Reception Set No.1 usually being mounted in a metal
case which also had compartments to house four coil boxes as
well as one in the set. Early models of the latter were
supplied with a black painted brass panel instead of the
RAAF's unpainted stainless steel panel.

Amalgamated Wireless Australasia (AWA) built 2 versions of
the HRO lookalikes - the AMR-100 which was table mounted and
the AMR-101 which was rack mounted (19" rack).

As an aside, there was also a Hammarlund Super Pro copy made
in Australia by Eclipse Radio in Melbourne and it was named
the AMR-200.

Used during WWII, the AMR nomenclature stood for AMerican
Receiver and similiarly AMT was AMerican Transmitter. These
were used to denote equipment built in Australia for the
American Forces under a sort of reverse lend lease arrangement.

Is the AR-7 the RAAF nameplate for the Kingsley KCR-11 ? I
mean, basically
same? -Hue
