How about Meshna in Massachusetts, G&G in new York City, Palley's and 
Wag Aero in the midwest? The last two didn't have too much radio 
equipment, but were great for motors, dynamotors, mounts, flex shafts 
and the other heavy electrical stuff needed with the radios.  The latest 
catalog from any of these was eagerly awaited by the nerds at lunchtime 
in high school.
