[Milsurplus] A question of Value

(1) It would depend upon whether the "repairs" were really repairs or more
correctly classified as modifications. To be more specific, an axial lead
capacitor tacked in in place of a rectangular metal can or bathtub capacitor
would constitute a modification, although if the original component were
still present such a modification might not decrease the price I would have
paid had the set not been modified.

(2) I would pay more for the original repairable set than for the modified
one, and considerably more if the modified one was full of orange drops. If
the original components were missing and it was full of orange drops, it
would automatically be considered a parts set.
