When I was in USAF AACS, and due to go overseas, I received
orders for Adak.  We had a detachment there, and their main job
was providing HF communications with the Air Weather Service
aircraft who flew the North Pacific circuit.  By the Grace of God,
and someone in Headquarters learning of my varied and unusual
experience in USAF communications, I was diverted to Elemendorf.
Stayed there 4 years in an Engineering and Installation Squadron.
We got around a lot, Summer and Winter.   Visited Adak four times.
