The militarist and xenophobic leadership of Japan in the first half of the last century also provided us with the Bataan death march, abuse and killing of prisoners of war, CW and biological experimentation on civilians and the rape of Nanking, anyone up for bayonet practice on live people? The Japan of today owes much to the American installed constitution and democracy they currently have.  What type of world would we have today if the militarist won?
