Good questions. But who got the fake propeller? and that was a great bit of Tube! Thanks Larry!

PS I still have my first (and only) jet. A Dynajet pulse jet engine mounted to an airframe I built out of the remains of the F-100 model it was originaly intended to power. An on-board fire destroyed the model and I was only able to salvage the wing frames. With those and the original plans I was able to build a pretty cool airplane model that I believe will fly (if you believe "control line" flying is really flying; ie. "rock on a string"). However, I do not intend to ever fly it. Whenever I ran the engine on the test stand the Police and Fire Dept's showed up. The pulse frequency was just near enough to the civil defense/fire alarm sirens that they were not pleased with my little hobby. Little did they know my younger Brother David had plans of his own for a future date. (He's got an outfitted Gun Truck, Maybe some of you have seen "Satin's Little Angel" at the Mil Vehicle shows back East?).

Two questions came to mind watching this video:
1. What was the radio complement aboard the P-59? Was it also an
CR-274N.? It would be kind of neat if it were an SCR-183 or similar
adio.
2. Whatever happened to the voice recordings made? Is there an archive
or that type of material somewhere?

About 5:17 into the video you'll see a ground controller type communicating
ith the P-59 via a triple command set transmitter arrangement mounted in a box
ut along the flightline or desert someplace. Can't see what the receiver(s)
s/are because the inside of the box is shaded. Any guesses? Pretty neat huh?
