All -

The LM - (unknown); since the previous owner saw fit to remove the
tag. I partially recovered the unit a bit by installing the correct
plug, and found the correct metered power supply. The meter "decided it
needed some attention" and blew out some capacitors .04 which are
leaking all over the place vitamin Q type axial, looks to be a depot
repair in the late 50's or early 60's metal encased hermetically sealed
axial capacitors. Long story short since I have to replace these two I
may surgically replace all the capacitors and carbon comp resistors,
Possibly even the bathtubs. I notice that one of the bathtubs is in
the compartment with the master tuning condenser. This begs the
question: How to separate the front panel from the chassis? I am just
not seeing it.

Reason two: I want to restore LM - 14 with ID tag witch has 2 problems
the band switch where the band switch position ball bearing chose to pop
out; Second it does have a leaking bathtub capacitor in the main tuning
condenser compartment.

Remove all the knobs.
Remove the nuts on the switches.
Main Tuning indicator three screws ?
Any one have a Depot procedure for the overhaul of the LM meter?

Your guidance appreciated
Hutch
