I have a 1939 RAS that's relatively complete and am always supersized to see such a good example although that's a 1943 one. Interesting to see that they had a set of covers that conceal the rack screws on each side of the rack. Think the noise limiter option that I have installed for the receiver is dated 1943 but have to wonder what the last production dates were for that radio.

Hello gang - I got an e-mail from an auction company - they have a
nice-looking RAS-5 amongst the furniture and china in an estate
auction this weekend in Belleville MI. I have no connection and know
nothing about it - my www.navy-radio.com web site just acts like a
magnet sometimes.
cheers,
