Thanks for all the responses to my query, especially from Dave. From
the activity on the ARC-5 reflector, I think I should have posted
there since it seems to be a predecessor. My coil set has the following info:
Coil Set C275, serial number 4161 Order no. 1245-NY-41
Calibration for radio transmitter BC-AN-230, serial no. 4161
There's also a calibration table, giving dial settings from 6200 to
7700 kHz, every 100 kHz
It appears that someone has attempted to use it, as there are
penciled notes on the front panel giving dial settings for 7250, plus
others for 15 CW, 15 fone, 21.3?? Maybe he was attempting to use it
as a VFO. A fixed tap was changed on the open coil on the coil set,
but the original wire is still there so it is easy to fix.
Dave, a few questions:
What is the B+ voltage?
What antenna is it designed for? I'm guessing it is a low impedance
antenna like the command transmitters and 50 ohms is too high.
Thanks, Jim
