The UHF front end on the TV-10 (CV-431/AR) is just a mixing diode. The
TV-10 is really about as deaf as a post, especially for a ground-based
installation.

The PRO-2005 (1987) and PRO-2006 (1989, IIRC) are really fine scanner
receivers that can cover the entire UHF military band. These units were
top-of-the-line for their era. I still have one of each in service.
Sometimes one of these will show up at a hamfest for give-away prices,
and I believe they usually don't bring too high a price on ebay either.
The luminescent LCD backlights probably will work only dimly, but that's
a small issue.
