They were included in Sprauge condensers, and yes, called quickettes.  
They were solder covered wire springs with a tiny amount of flux, and 
didn't work worth a damn unless you added some solder with plenty flux 
in it. They were marketed to TV repairmen and did save a lot of time on 
service calls because you quickly learned by rote which condensers 
became leaky and caused  particular problems.  The TV's were scrapped 
within a few years, with solid state sets becoming the norm, so quick 
and dirty repairs would usually suffice.   The mangement of most TV 
shops considered radios  to be a money-wasting nuisance,  and pressured 
their  bench technicians to  do anything that   would speed  a repair, 
while ignoring the fact that radios tended to be kept for many years to 
come.
