I bought this book, "Waffen - Arsenal Band 178, Funkgeraete in Gepanzerten
Fahrzeugen der Wehrmacht" by Fred Koch, 1999. List price around EE13, but
I paid only about 1/4 that for a new copy, but about EE10 for postage. I
think
worth it, and the more times I look in it, the happier I am with my
purchase.
NO technical detail other than frequency and expected distance range; many
blacknwhite only photos, almost all period, and mostly exterior views of
vehicles; but some good interior shots and good antenna views. Particularly
good for "used in what vehicle" information, and explains the nomenclature
for the groupings of the various system elements.

"From 1936 to 1945 supposed alone from firm Telefunken and its license
holders almost 180,000 armored vehicle radios were built. [ my note: these
low-VHF apparatus also used in various trucks and some small boats, I have
read ]. Indeed contributed at first the firm C. Lorenz AG in the
development
of transmit and receiver facilities for armored vehicles, however later
concentrated on the construction and installation of radio equipment for
the Luftwaffe. Alone of one equipment the FuG16 for fighter and bomber
aircraft appeared approximately 150,000 sets.
Of the 'Tiger I' were in the period July 1942 to August 1944 only 1354 units
produced, the price each with radio equipment and ammunition supply
stated 300,000 RM [ Reich Marks ]."
