PAMPANITO has an AN/SPA-1 and AN/APR rcm suite.
http://www.maritime.org/radio-rcm.htm
TEXAS had one set of AN/SPA and AN/APR gear in Radar III and another set of
AN/APR gear in Radar IV. The gear in Radar III was used in conjunction with
a TDY transmitter to jam the radio guidance of the German Fritz-X bombs;
when TEXAS went to the Pacific in 1945 it was used for jamming Japanese
radar.
The full gear compliment in each of those compartments is this:
Radar III-
REB panadapter
TDY
AN/SPA-1
TN1A/APR-1
TN2A/APR-1
TN3A/APR-1
TN4A/APR-1
MT 141/APR-1
Radar IV
RDC Receiver
RCX-1 Panadapter
RBW Panadapter
AN/SPA-1
TN1A/APR-1
TN2A/APR-1
TN3A/APR-1
TN4A/APR-1
MT 141/APR-1
We still have all the gear in Radar III, aside from the panadapter. Radar
IV was sadly gutted by the Navy before being turned over to the state of
Texas. If I can remember I will link a picture of Radar IV as it is today
(in pretty bad shape -lots of fresh water corrosion for leaking rain water)
and one from back during the war.
Best Regards,
Travis
