Correctamundo. There are a number of other WWII JAN Army/Navy
countermeasures equivalents, like:
.
AN/APR-5 = AN/SPR-2
AN/APT-1 = AN/SPT-1
AN/APT-2 = AN/SPT-2
AN/APQ-2 = AN/SPT-4
AN/APQ-9 = AN/SPT-5
.
Generally speaking, the innards were all the same between an Army/Navy
pair - it was only the dust cover and shock mount that differed. I have
a manual excerpt for the APA-6 at http://aafradio.org/docs/APA-6.html
and it records in part, "It [SPA-1] also uses a heavy steel dust cover
which gives it adequate protection against damage due to placement of
heavy objects on its top surface." I guess the shipboard Navy tended to
put stuff on top of the equipment - anathema in a flight situation.
